Get Ready for the 2025 Dowdell PUD Earth Day Art Contest!

Attention students and families in the Dowdell Public Utility District! The highly anticipated 18th Annual Dowdell Earth Day Art Contest is here, and this year’s theme is Water Conservation. This is a wonderful opportunity for young artists to showcase their creativity and help spread awareness about the importance of conserving water.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Who Can Participate?
    Students from Schultz, Mahaffey, and Bernshausen Elementary Schools, as well as homeschooled students living in the Dowdell Public Utility District neighborhoods, are eligible.
  • What to Submit?
    Create artwork related to water conservation using paint, pen and pencil, or magic markers. Remember, crayons are not allowed, and submissions must not exceed 8.5 x 11 inches.
  • Prizes:
    Exciting prizes include medallions and gift cards to Hobby Lobby or Michael’s for top winners at various levels, with a $250 gift card awarded to the Overall Champion!
  • Important Dates:
    • Submission Deadline: Friday, April 4, 2025, by 12:00 PM (noon)
    • Judging Date: Friday, April 11, 2025
    • Winners Announced: Earth Day, Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at the Klein Multipurpose Center.
  • How to Enter:
    Download the entry form from www.dowdellpud.info and submit it along with your art. Be sure to complete every blank on the form to avoid disqualification.
